SAN ANGELO,TX- San Angelo Central has released it’s 2021 football schedule.
The Bobcats will play:
- 8/27 vs Killeen Shoemaker at 7 pm (Senior Parent Night)
- 9/4 at El Paso Montwood at 4 pm (mountain time)
- 9/11 vs Austin Vandegrift at 7 pm
- 9/17 at Amarillo Tascosa at 7 pm (WTAMU’s Buffalo Stadium)
- 9/24 vs Frenship at 7 pm
- 10/1 at Odessa High at 7 pm
- 10/8 vs Midland High at 7 pm
- 10/15 BYE WEEK
- 10/22 Odessa Permian at 7pm
- 10/29 vs Midland Lee at 7pm
- 11/4 at Abilene High at 7 pm
San Angelo Central's district went through a lot of change this offseason. Midland High Bulldogs hired new head football coach Thad Fortune away from Odessa Permian. Fortune was the Panthers offensive coordinator.
The Odessa Bronchos hired Dusty Ortiz after reassigning Danny Severance.
Central had a coaching change themselves. Brent Davis has gone to the coast and his offensive coordinator, Kevin Crane, is now Central’s coach. One thing Central has going for them is Crane has been the offensive coordinator.
Outside of the district changes comes some consistency with Killeen Shoemaker. The Bobcats have battled it out with the Gray Wolves in the first game the past four seasons.
