ABILENE, TX — A one-day music festival that will benefit Abilene restaurants and the Ben Richey Boys Ranch will be going on Saturday, August 1.
According to KTXS, the festival, planned by the organizers of the annual Outlaws & Legends Music Festival, is aimed to help restaurants that were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The concert will be featuring Kevin Fowler, Mark Powell, Hill Country, Bri Bagwell, Jerrod Medulla, and Della Rose.
Local restaurants will be operating booths at the festival in an effort to rebuild income lost during the closures. The Ben Richey Boys Ranch & Family Program will also be receiving 30 percent of ticket sales after the program lost three fundraising sources this year,
The festival will be named Farm Raise Music Fest and will be held at the Bark Porch of Texas. The event will be limited to 3,500 people as the event must remain at 25 percent capacity.
The festival will include tailgate spaces, 30 RV spots, and limited VIP tickets. Gates will open at 11:30 a.m., music will start at 12:00 p.m. and continue until. 10:30 p.m.
Social distancing is encouraged and monitored. Multiple sanitation stations and random temperature checks will be on site.
