SAN ANGELO, TX -- The Lady in Blue movie premiere is set for Sunday in San Angelo and organizers are busy working on last minute details.
Movie director Victor Manzilla is in San Angelo for the world premiere of his movie, 'The Needle and the Thread' which is a documentary account of the story of the Lady in Blue.
Actors who appear in the movie will join other VIPs on the red carpet at the Murphey Performance Hall Sunday for the premiere.
The movie will also be screened in Spain and Rome.
The Needle and the Thread tells the story of a Nun in Agreda Spain who goes into trances and appears to the Jumano indians in the San Angelo Area in the 1600s before Spanish Catholic missionaries arrive in the new world. There is physical evidence of the nun's interaction with the natives on the pictographs at Paint Rock, TX.
Manzilla said Saturday that the story of Soy Maria De Agreda has touched his heart and as a native American this story needs to be told.
The world premier of 'The Needle and the Thread' is Sunday at 3 pm. in the Murphey Performance Hall and tickets are still available.
