San Angelo Civic Ballet Presents the Nutcracker and Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party

Tickets are now on sale for the San Angelo Civic Ballet's Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party Fundraiser and the 32nd annual performance of Nutcracker, said a press release Tuesday. The Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party will be held in the Children's Building of Paul Ann Baptist Church on Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. The Nutcracker will have four performances at the Lake View High School Auditorium. Performances will be Dec. 18 through Dec. 20.

A favorite San Angelo Christmas tradition for over 30 years now, the Nutcracker will feature brand new costumes, characters and choreography this year. This performance has been the inspiration for many young audience members to become San Angelo Civic Ballet students.

The Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party is great way to get ready to see the performance of the Nutcracker. Attendees will meet and interact with characters as they enjoy tea, sandwiches and cookies. In addition to hearing the story of the Nutcracker and seeing a sneek-peak performance, the Sugar Plum Fairy herself will be available for photography.

According to the press release, Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party tickets are $20 each. Nutcracker tickets are $17 for students/children/military/seniors general seating, $20 for adult general seating, and $37 for premium seating. To purchase tickets, visit www.sanangelocivicballet.org. They can also be purchased at the Ballet office at 15 West Beauregard by calling 325-653-8877, or via e-mail at [email protected].

Sponsors of the Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party and the Nutcracker include Mayfield Paper Company, Shannon Medical Center, Studio Stream on behalf of Be Theatre Company, Will and Anna McNeill, Armstong, Backus & CO, LLC, First Financial Bank of San Angelo and The Carriage.
