Sterling County 4-H Excels at 7220 Wool Invitational in Wyoming

 

LARAMIE, WY—Sterling County 4-H earned top honors at the 7220 Wool Invitational Contest held on January 14 at the Albany County Fairgrounds.

The team secured the title of High Team Overall. Individually, Sheldon Coxey led the pack, earning the High Individual distinction. Other performances included Rett Dickison in second place, Wrace Blackwelder in fourth, Vance Davis in fifth, and Ryder Davis in sixth.

The competition, hosted by the University of Wyoming Animal Science Department, brought together both collegiate competitors and youth participants from 4-H and FFA programs. The event tested contestants’ wool evaluation and grading skills.

Sterling County 4-H will continue its streak later this week, traveling to Denver, Colorado, to compete in the National Western Contest.
