SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Independent School District announced on Tuesday, May 28, its annual San Angelo READS! Summer Book Patrol program. Announced on SAISD’s website, the program will begin on Tuesday, June 11, and run through the summer.
The school district aims to inspire a love of reading throughout the summer by providing book deliveries around San Angelo.
“Through the Summer Book Patrol, we hope to continue inspiring a love of reading in the critical summer months as part of the District’s ongoing commitment to our students and community,” SAISD said in a Facebook post. “Community members can join us in inspiring a love of reading by nominating an SAISD elementary student to receive a free book patrol delivery through our nomination form.”
The form provided HERE is to nominate a child in the community to receive a free book delivery. San Angelo ISD said that they will randomly select a student from the submitted nomination forms to receive free books within their reading level and hand deliver said books to the student’s home.
Deliveries will occur on Tuesday, June 11, and Tuesday, July 9.
“We will contact you to let you know if your nominated child has been randomly selected to receive books,” SAISD said. “Keep Reading, San Angelo!”
