San Angelo ISD to Celebrate 90th Day of School with '90s Throwback

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - San Angelo ISD is turning back the clock to the 1990s to commemorate the 90th day of school on Monday, Jan. 22.

The school district invites students and staff to embrace the spirit of the '90s by donning their best bomber jackets, flannel shirts, overalls, and graphic tees. 

The school community is encouraged to showcase their creativity and immerse themselves in the fashion trends of the era.

For those eager to witness the festivities, the SAISD website and social media platforms will serve as the virtual portals to the '90s celebration. Throughout the day, campuses and departments will share their experiences.

Highlights:

  • Kick-off Message: The celebration begins with a "Kick-off message."
  • '90s-Themed Performance: Lake View High School band takes center stage with a special '90s-themed performance.
  • Classic Read-Aloud: A read-aloud session featuring a popular children's book from the 1990s. 
  • And More! The day will hold additional surprises and activities.

As popular as it was during the 90s to mock the previous 4 decades, (with the conditional exception of the 60s,) looking back, the 90s were by far the lamest decade of the 20th century.

No doubt this was the teachers' idea. We all know what the kids wanted: A flashback to 1940's Japan! 😁 "Waaaaaasshhhoiiiii!!!"
