BALLINGER, TX — The Ballinger Independent School District announced the appointment of Mrs. Caroline Toliver as its new Superintendent in a social media post recently. The decision was unanimously approved by the Ballinger ISD Board of Trustees during a special meeting held on December 15, 2023. After the mandatory 21-day waiting period, Mrs. Toliver was officially named Superintendent at another special meeting on January 5, 2024.
Toliver brings 20 years of experience in public education, all of which have been served at Ballinger ISD. Her commitment to education is underscored by her academic achievements, including a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree and a Master of Education in school mid-management. Additionally, she holds teaching and superintendent certifications, all earned from Angelo State University.
Mrs. Toliver's roots run deep in the Ballinger community, having grown up on her parent's farm in Norton and completing her K-12 education within the Ballinger ISD. Her connection to the district is complemented by her family ties. Mrs. Toliver is happily married to Joseph Toliver, and they share four children – Chelsea (Kasey) Byler, Marcus, Eric, and Emma Toliver, all proud graduates of Ballinger High School.
Expressing her sentiments on the new role, Mrs. Toliver shared, "It is both an honor and a privilege to be a part of this school, first as a student, then as an educator, and now as the leader of a great team!"
