SAN ANGELO, TX — University Theatre at Angelo State University will present the dramatic comedy "Lost Girl" for its first production of the 2023-24 season, beginning Thursday, Oct. 5, in the ASU Modular Theatre inside the Carr Education-Fine Arts (EFA) Building at 2602 Dena Drive.
Show times will be at 8 p.m. each night, October 5-7 and 12-14, with a matinee finale performance on Sunday, October 15, at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for the general public, $5 for non-ASU students, and free for Arts at ASU subscribers, ASU students, and ASU activity card holders. Tickets are available for purchase online at angelo.edu/boxoffice or through the ASU box office in the Carr EFA Building. Arts at ASU season subscriptions that include the theatre productions are also on sale now at those locations.
Written by Kimberly Bellflower, "Lost Girl" answers the question of what became of Wendy Darling in the years following her adventures with Peter Pan. Long after returning from Neverland, Wendy decides that she must find Peter to reclaim her kiss and move on with her life. Along the way, she meets other girls who went to Neverland and learns she is not alone. A coming-of-age exploration of first love and lasting loss, "Lost Girl" continues the story of J.M. Barrie's beloved character - the girl who had to grow up.
Under the direction of Rebekah Clark, assistant professor of theatre, the ASU student cast includes Britnee Smith, Zaiden Lopez, Breonna Casey, Desirae Labedelle, Jake Cisneros, Shaunte Stephens, Fallon Dinolfo, Alec Ochoa Razo, Jakob Rowe, Alexis Crawford and Juan Rodriguez.
The student production staff and crew include Jasmine Solis, assistant director; Samuel Molho, stage manager; Demetrius Armstrong and Cassandra Fuentes, assistant stage managers; Mia Harryman, assistant scenic designer/scenic painter; Zye Foster, assistant scenic designer; August Lackey, associate lighting designer; Kate Yantis, costume designer; Analy Preciado, assistant costume designer; Charlotte Branch, sound designer; Alec Ochoa Razo, props designer; Mari Troncoso, assistant props designer; Ella Dorris, scenic charge painter; Janae Wilson, house manager; Kat Fields, deck crew; Angel Pena, wardrobe supervisor; Caroline Stout and Lily Moran, dressers; Brianna Kincaid, light board operator; and Melissa Surber, sound board operator.
Daniel Anderson, director of University Theatre, is the scenic designer, and Chase Phelps, ASU technical director, is the lighting designer.
