Howard College First Ever Fall Graduation Set for San Angelo Coliseum

SAN ANGELO – Howard College San Angelo has announced a first ever all-discipline Fall Commencement Ceremony to be held December 15, 2022  at 6:00pm in the San Angelo Coliseum.

“We love graduations at Howard College!  Due to increasing numbers of completions each semester, we determined graduation ceremonies were needed in May and December to best serve our students.  When our students make those dreams real, we need to celebrate those successes quickly! “ said Dr. Cheryl T. Sparks, President of Howard College.

Not only is this the first Fall Commencement Ceremony hosted by Howard College San Angelo in their 50 years serving the Concho Valley,  the special ceremony will also be the first to include graduates from all departments, including the traditionally recognized Academic, Career Technical Education, and Health Professions programs, but also High School Equivalency (GED) graduates from the Adult Education and Literacy Program, and course completers from the Workforce Training Department.  These completers include Electrical Training, Certified Nurse Aide, Phlebotomy, and Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), to name a few.

“It is important that we, as a partner in our community, recognize the significance of the sacrifices and triumphs all of our students have experienced as they pursue their education.  They have all worked hard to enhance their career opportunities and in turn, the lives of their families, and we want to appropriately honor their accomplishments,” said Kaitlyn Brosh, Director of Student Life and Marketing.

More specific details about the graduation ceremony will be shared with the eligible students in the coming weeks.
