San Angelo ISD Honors Retirees in Livestream Recognition Ceremony

SAN ANGELO, TX –  Retiring San Angelo ISD staff members were honored during a virtual district celebration event held on Friday, May 1. 

The virtual event, which was streamed live on Facebook, was held in lieu of a traditional retirement ceremony due to current restrictions in place because of COVID-19. Retiring staff members were given the option for virtual recognition or in-person recognition while maintaining appropriate social distancing protocols.

Retirees received either a certificate, a clock, or a watch depending on their years of service to the district. These 28 staff members represented more than 803 total years of combined service in public education and more than 637 years in SAISD.
