SAMFA Offers Free Art Survival Packets to All Families

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts is providing fun and education learning tools as San Angelo families work through school closures.

Family Day and Art Thursday are currently postponed due to government regulations, but children can still enjoy art activities in the comfort of their homes.

Families can stop by the museum during normal office hours: Monday through Saturday: 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. Monday- Saturday and Sunday: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. to pick up a free art survival activity packet. New packets will be available every week.

“We are currently working to provide additional online content for at-home use,” said Bekah Coleman, Curator of Education of SAMFA in an email. “Together we provide extensive and varied collections and programs that are sure to engage all ages!”

SAMFA has teamed up with The Grace Museum, The Center for Contemporary Arts, National Center for Children's Illustrated Literature, and Old Jail Art Center to create a daily online arts-centric programming for all ages.
