San Angelo Elks Give Big Bucks for Tom Green County Library's Annual Spelling Bee Contest

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Elks Lodge will use an Elks National Foundation Grant of $2,000 with an additional $3,000 of local Elks dollars to help make it the Major Sponsor for this year’s Tom Green County Spelling Bee.

The Spelling Bee will be held in the Suggs Community room of the Stephens Central Library from 9 a.m. until noon on March 9.

Winners and chaperones will be awarded an expense paid trip to Washington DC to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee, held during Spelling Bee week.

Volunteers are needed to help setup on Friday afternoon from 2-5 p.m. and Saturday morning beginning at 8 a.m.
