SAN ANGELO, TX -- (Press Release) Registration will soon be underway for the 2018-2019 school year. Whether your child is new to SAISD or a returning student, you will find all the information you need below about registering in one of our schools.
Parents of students who will be attending school in San Angelo ISD for the first time will need to visit the student’s future campus to enroll the student and provide necessary documentation for the 2018-2019 school year.
All new students to SAISD will be required to provide the following documents.
- Proof of Residence (Utility Bill, Water, Electric, Gas, etc.)
- Student's Social Security Number
- Student's Birth Certificate
- Updated Shot Records
- Last Report Card (if applicable)
- Custody/Guardian documents (if applicable)
Registration procedures vary between elementary and secondary campuses. Please see below for more information.
Elementary Students
San Angelo ISD will hold new student registration for kindergarten through 5th grade the week of August 6-10. If your child did not attend a San Angelo ISD school last year, please bring the required documents to your child's elementary school starting Monday, August 6. Please call the school in advance to set up an appointment time. To register for kindergarten in a San Angelo ISD school, your child must be five years old on or before September 1.
Returning elementary students should have preregistered in the spring. If you need to update any personal information, please contact your campus after August 6 to do so. Please visit the school's website for information about Elementary Meet the Teacher sessions.
Secondary Students
New and returning secondary students will be required to attend a registration session during the school's registration period to provide the required and/or missing documentation and finalize the enrollment process. This is also the time that students will get textbooks, pick up schedules, tour the campus, etc. Registration dates and times vary from campus to campus and in some cases an appointment may be required. Please contact your child's campus or refer to the attachments below for more information.
Parents of returning middle and high school students are strongly encouraged to update student information online. This will expedite the in-person registration process. Online registration will be available for secondary students through Home Access Center July 23 through September 21. To complete online enrollment, parents will need to have an active Home Access Center Account and a contact email on record. If you do not have an account or would like to make sure your account is ready for the online enrollment window, please contact your child’s campus office. Parents or guardians who choose to take advantage of online enrollment will still need to visit their student’s campus during the school's registration period, but completing the online enrollment will cut down on paperwork and save parents time.
