ASU's Wind Ensemble Presents "Elements" Concert

 

Angelo State University’s Wind Ensemble will present a concert titled “Elements” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, in the ASU Auditorium in the Mayer Administration Building, 2601 W. Avenue N, said a press release Monday.

The concert will feature music pertaining to the seven elements – Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Space, Metal and Wood – by such composers as Maslanka, Spears, Iannacone, Sheldon, Young, Ticheli, and Barnes. Additionally, the performance will feature Dr. Jeff Womack, associate professor of music and double reed instructor at ASU, as oboe soloist. The event is free and open to the public.

The Wind Ensemble is one of the premier instrumental performing ensembles at ASU and is directed by Dr. Constance Kelley, associate professor of music and interim director of bands.
