ASU's Chapter of Phi Kappa Phi Inducts 82 Students

 

Angelo State University's chapter of the Phi Kappa Phi (PKP) national honor society inducted its fall 2015 class during a special initiation ceremony, said a press release Tuesday. The ceremony, which was on Tuesday November 10, took place in the Houston Harte University Center; 82 students were inducted.

One of the nation's most prestigious academic honor societies, PKP, extends invitations to juniors who are in the top 7.5 percent of their class. Additionally, seniors and graduate students who are in the top 10 percent are invited to join. In the spring of 2013, ASU received its charter for a local chapter.

Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society, is also considered one of the nation's most prestigious honorary societies along with Phi Beta Kappa.

Phi Beta Kappa recognizes majors in arts and sciences, while Sigma Xi honors majors in the sciences.
