San Angelo ISD has named Farrah Gomez as an Executive Director of Schools.
A San Angelo native, she received a Bachelor of Science degree from Angelo State University and taught for San Angelo ISD at Bonham Elementary and Lee Middle School before relocating to south Texas, where she earned a Master of Science degree from Texas A&M, Kingsville.
As Pleasanton ISD’s Director of Curriculum focusing on elementary education, she worked closely with curriculum alignment, student performance data, and benchmark interventions. Prior to serving as Director of Curriculum, she served for five years as the Curriculum and Instructional Specialist for Pleasanton ISD.
Upon her return to SAISD six years ago, she has served as both an elementary and a secondary principal. Mrs. Gomez served at Fannin Elementary School for three years prior to taking the top post at Lee Middle School, which has been named twice as a Middle School Matters campus, led by Johns Hopkins University and the University of Texas.
Mrs. Gomez and her husband are the parents of two SAISD students.
