Newly Released Footage Gives Insight Into 2018 San Angelo Murder

SAN ANGELO, TX — Newly released video footage is providing a closer look into the investigation of the 2018 murder of Camille Garcia, a 24-year-old mother of three who was found fatally shot in a neighbor’s dumpster.

The footage features police body camera recordings from the crime scene, interrogation clips of the killer, Andres Rios Ramirez, and evidence searches conducted by investigators.

It sheds light on how authorities identified Ramirez, who was stopped for driving without a valid license. Police discovered a loaded pistol in his vehicle and, during questioning, Ramirez confessed to the crime.

Evidence recovered from Ramirez’s residence further tied him to Garcia’s killing. In September 2019, a jury convicted him of first-degree murder, and he was sentenced to life in prison.
