SAN ANGELO, TX — An 18-year-old San Angelo man was booked into the Tom Green County Jail on Wednesday afternoon on a charge of possessing child pornography after telling investigators he was in possession of “hundreds” of videos and “thousands” of images of child sexual abuse material, according to court records.
The case began with a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. On May 28, 2026, Google reported to the center that an unknown person using a Google account had uploaded 22 images and videos suspected of containing child pornography to Google Photos and Google Drive.
A search warrant served on Google yielded subscriber and billing information linking the account to Ruiz, along with two San Angelo addresses. The account contained “thousands and thousands of images and video of anime pornography,” some of which “clearly depicted children and juveniles,” an affidavit filed in Tom Green County states.
Investigators identified 42 videos and 123 images on the account that “contained obvious child pornography.”On July 15, deputies executed a search warrant at his residence and interviewed Ruiz. He admitted the Google account belonged to him and said he was “in possession of ‘hundreds’ of videos and ‘thousands’ of images containing child pornography.” Ruiz told investigators the youngest images depicted children 5 to 6 years old.
During the interview, Ruiz said, “I’ve been kinda scared and I knew this day would come,” and “I’m an adult so it’s especially f--- up,” the affidavit states.
Noah Ruiz faces a charge of possession of child pornography involving more than 10 but fewer than 50 visual depictions. He remains in custody with a $50,000 bond, the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office inmate roster shows.
