Grape Creek Lockdown Suspect Arrested in San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - On Thursday, April 9, 2026, the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office, while conducting a follow-up investigation, learned two wanted subjects were possibly in the area of the 3400 block of Wildewood Drive in San Angelo. Units arrived and conducted surveillance in the area.  

One subject was located, positively identified, and observed entering into a residence.  

Tom Green County Sheriff's Office and San Angelo Police Department personnel surrounded the residence and conducted what is known as a "Surround and Call-Out."  

The two wanted subjects exited the residence and were taken into custody. A third subject exited and was temporarily detained, then later released on scene. The two wanted subjects were identified as:

  • D'Carlos Balderas, 20, who was arrested on warrants for ASSAULT CAUSES BODILY INJURY FAMILY VIOLENCE, EVADING ARREST DETENTION AND EVADING ARREST DET W/VEHICLE.
  • Noah Carson, 21, who was arrested on a warrant for EVADING ARREST DET W/VEHICLE.

Balderas was also the subject who caused a school lockdown at Grape Creek ISD on March 5. Additional charges are pending.

"The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office would like to thank the San Angelo Police Department's Special Operations Unit and K9 for their assistance in the operation," information stated.
