San Angelo Man Arrested for Threatening Woman With Firearm

SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo man has been arrested after reportedly getting drunk and threatening a woman with a handgun.

Jordan Bowser, 28, was arrested on March 11, 2026, by the San Angelo Police Department for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

According to court documents, on March 10, San Angelo police officers were dispatched to the 200 block of South Garrett Street for a report of a domestic disturbance. Call notes indicated to officers that the subject, identified as Bowser, had a gun and was preventing a woman from leaving. The same notes also advised officers that the victim was inside her vehicle, and Bowser was tapping the gun on the window.

When officers arrived, they located the victim in the vehicle in front of the residence. Bowser eventually exited the house and was detained. When he was handcuffed and searched, a small derringer pistol was found in his back right pocket, and a black handgun magazine was on his person.

The incident report stated that Bowser had been arguing with the victim about his drinking, and he believed that as the “man of the household," he was allowed to do as he pleases. The victim left, and Bowser went to get more alcohol. They both arrived back at the residence, and the victim went to gather some items.

The victim said that she found the front door locked, and Bowser then cracked the door with a handgun pointed at her. Bowser allegedly stated to the victim that if she brought anyone with her, he would kill them. If she were to call the police, he would kill her then himself.

Then, the victim walked to her vehicle with Bowser following, recording the event on his cell phone. He stood in front of the vehicle and said if the victim left, he wanted a divorce.

A recording from the victim’s cell phone was reviewed, and she could be heard asking Bowser to unlock the door. He could be heard telling the victim that if someone was behind her, they would be shot. The victim ended up entering the residence and asked Bowser to put the gun somewhere else, but he refused.

Bowser then stated, “I have the legal right under castle law to shoot a person that does not have the right to come to my house and that means a peace officer who does not have a warrant,” and “the warrant has to be valid."

Investigators spoke with Bowser, who said he had videos of the event on his cell phone. In Bowser’s recording, one video showed him at the victim’s vehicle window asking her if she wanted a divorce. In a second video, he stood in front of her vehicle and could be heard telling the victim she took a picture of his guns saying, “We live in a castle state. I have the right to protect myself." Bowser also told the victim, “I am trying to talk to you. I’m your husband and I have the right to do so. If that is not true, then you have no right to go in that house with an officer when I am not there."

Bowser was read his Miranda warning and did not want to answer any questions.

Bowser was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail on March 11 and has a $50,000 bond.
