SAN ANGELO, TX - A wanted fugitive is back in custody after losing a lengthy game of "hide and seek" with the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office early this morning.
Michael "Bo" Noland, 39, of San Angelo, was apprehended at about 2:50 a.m. following an extensive search involving multiple agencies. Noland, who had an active parole warrant, was also a suspect in connection with a recent criminal incident in the Carlsbad area.
The investigation began on the evening of Sunday, October 12, when Noland was identified as a suspect in a disturbance during which he was reportedly armed with a hatchet and possibly a handgun. When deputies attempted to make contact, Noland fled on foot, evading capture several times before disappearing into a wooded area.
On the evening of October 15, at about 10 p.m., deputies were alerted that Noland had been spotted on a game camera in the same vicinity. The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office, Texas Parks and Wildlife (TPW), San Angelo Police Department (SAPD), and the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) responded to the area.
Over the next three hours, Noland again attempted to evade law enforcement by running through multiple properties, climbing fences, and hiding in dense brush. With the assistance of the SAPD K-9 Unit, the drone teams from both SAPD and TPW, and the DPS Aviation Unit, Noland was ultimately located, surrounded, and taken into custody without further incident.
"This successful operation demonstrates the outstanding coordination and teamwork among local and state law enforcement agencies, resulting in the safe apprehension of a dangerous fugitive who had been causing unrest in our community," information states.
Noland was booked into the Tom Green County Jail on charges of Parole Violation and Evading Arrest or Detention with a Previous Conviction. Additional charges related to the initial incident are expected as the investigation continues.
"The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office extends its sincere appreciation to the San Angelo Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Parks and Wildlife, and the citizens of Tom Green County for their assistance and cooperation in bringing this case to a successful conclusion," the sheriff's office stated.

After four days on the run, Michael “Bo” Noland was captured early Thursday following a multi-agency search involving drones, K-9 units, and state aircraft.
