Burglary Suspect on the Run After Deputies Find Stolen Items in Pickup

SAN ANGELO, TX — A man is on the run after Tom Green County deputies linked him to a burglary through a traffic stop conducted just hours after the crime.

Deputies first responded around 10 a.m. Tuesday to a home on Poplar Lane for a report of a burglary of habitation. Several items were reported stolen, including a refrigerator, household goods, power tools, accessories, and a door.

Later that afternoon, at around 2:30 p.m., deputies attempted a traffic stop on a white Ford F-150 for an unrelated offense. Deputies temporarily lost sight of the vehicle due to traffic conditions, but later found it with the occupants having fled on foot. Inside, they discovered the majority of the items reported stolen earlier in the day.

Deputies have identified the driver as Michael Gabriel Sanchez Jr., born Sept. 23, 1998. He is now a suspect in the burglary and is currently being sought by law enforcement.

Anyone with information about Sanchez’s location is urged to contact the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office at 325-655-8111.
