San Angelo Teen Agrees to Plea Deal for Possessing Lewd Images

SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo teen has agreed to a plea deal for possessing and/or promoting lewd visual material depicting children.

Isaac Cajas, 17, has agreed to plead guilty to the charges according to court documents.

On Aug. 13, 2024, a cyber tip from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children provided information that Dropbox user Rob Jobs had uploaded two videos that were suspected of containing child pornography on June 14, 2024, according to court documents.

Dropbox is an American company that offers cloud storage, file synchronization, personal cloud, and client software.

Three grand jury subpoenas were submitted to Google, AT&T, and Suddenlink Communications to provide information regarding the email, phone number, and IP address that came back to a San Angelo residence.

Issac Cajas, who was identified as a suspect, is the son of the owner of that specific residence. It should also be noted that the house is one street over from Lamar Elementary.

On Sept. 18, 2024, the investigator executed a search warrant and seized Cajas’ cellphone. A search of the phone revealed five additional videos that contained obvious child pornography.

The same day, Cajas was interviewed where he allegedly admitted that he did view and download child pornography on his phone. He also said that the Dropbox account, Rob Jobs, was his account and he saved the lewd videos a few months prior.

Cajas was arrested on Sept. 19, 2024, and released the next day on $15,000 bond.

The videos that were uploaded on Cajas’ Dropbox account depicted female children, around ages 10-11, performing in sexual conduct. Three of the videos were on varying lengths from under a minute to over 14 minutes.

Additional notes on the plea worksheet read, “lesser included offense of possession or promotion of lewd visual material depicting child penal code 43.262”.

In exchange for a guilty plea, Cajas agreed to five years deferred adjudication. A judge has not yet signed the court paperwork.
