Abilene Hookah Lounge Shooting Sends 2 to Hospital, Marks Third Incident This Year

 

ABILENE, TX — A shooting outside a downtown Abilene hookah lounge early Sunday left two men wounded, marking the establishment’s third shooting this year and the fourth in less than nine months. 

Officers were dispatched around 3 a.m. to the Bravo Hookah Lounge at 706 N. 6th St. following reports of gunfire. Investigators learned a disturbance among several people escalated into shots being fired.

Two men sustained gunshot injuries and were driven to a hospital in a private vehicle. Details about their conditions have not been released.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division, who were working an unrelated homicide case nearby, responded to assist. Police gathered descriptions of potential suspects, and the search for those involved in the aggravated assault is ongoing.
