Mom Turns Off Wi-Fi, Kids Allegedly Attack Her With Knives

HARRIS COUNTY, TX — Three siblings, ages 14, 15 and 16, were arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly attacking their mother when she turned off the home’s Wi-Fi, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

Deputies responded overnight to a disturbance at a residence on Barkers Crossing Avenue in the Barkers Branch neighborhood. Upon arrival, they found an adult woman who had been assaulted by her children during the incident.

Sheriff Gonzalez said the teens became upset after losing internet access and allegedly grabbed kitchen knives before chasing their mother through the house and into the street in an attempt to stab her. The woman was also reportedly struck with a brick.

During the incident, the children’s grandmother was knocked over while trying to intervene. Gonzalez said neither adult sustained serious injuries.

The teens were taken into custody and booked into the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center.
