SAN ANGELO, TX — On Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025, the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office successfully executed a narcotics investigation that led to the recovery of a stolen vehicle and the seizure of a significant quantity of methamphetamine.
During the course of the investigation, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a suspected stolen vehicle, later confirmed to be a 2018 Ford Explorer out of Abilene. A subsequent inventory search of the vehicle uncovered 102 grams of methamphetamine, along with additional evidence that established probable cause for a search warrant.
Investigators applied for and were granted a search warrant for a residence in the 600 block of North Adams in San Angelo. Upon executing the warrant, law enforcement officers discovered additional methamphetamine, along with evidence indicative of drug sales and distribution.
As a result of the investigation, Jana Thompson, 38, was arrested and charged with manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance (4-200 grams). In total, approximately 105 grams of methamphetamine were seized, and the stolen vehicle was recovered.
The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division led the investigation, with support from deputies with the Patrol Division and Special Agents with the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division.
