Man Arrested for Continually Abusing a Young Pre-Teen

SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo man has been arrested for sexually abusing a child several times.

Ramiro Galvan, 31, of San Angelo, has been arrested for sexual abuse of a child under 14.

According to court documents, on Dec. 5, 2024, a forensic interview with the child victim was reviewed. The victim said she was 12 years old at the time and that Galvan had sexually assaulted her. The victim then said when she was in the sixth grade and about 13 years old, Galvan had laid behind her and licked her neck.

The child victim said that Galvan had sexually abused her several times.

On the same day, the investigator learned that the child made an outcry of sexual abuse to a witness.

When the child learned that Galvan was going to be at the witness’s residence, she said, “I can’t do it anymore.”

When the witness asked if Galvan had abused her, the victim nodded her head. The witness asked if it had happened more than once, and the victim said, “Yes, a lot more than once” and “Once it started, it never stopped."

On Dec. 6, 2024, the investigator spoke with a special education counselor, and she advised that on Dec. 3, 2024, she was told by the child victim that Galvan attempted to abuse her again, but she told him no for the first time.

Galvan was arrested on December 10, 2024, and is being held on a $200,000 bond.
