As a news agency, San Angelo LIVE! deals in the truth. The truth is, Cutrer was not employed with the company long enough to even master the basics of print, broadcast or digital journalism. He was frequently late and rarely finished all his assignments on time.
Staff at San Angelo LIVE! all experienced finding Cutrer either bouncing off the walls with energy or passed out at his desk, or in the bathroom or in his vehicle outside. His behavior was so disturbing a nearby business owner came into the office to tell staff Cutrer was passed out in his Jeep and we needed to check on him.
Cutrer also promised to sell stories to his business associates and guaranteed results. None of them came to be. It seems his behavior could have been related to drug use.
Cutrer now faces the judicial system. With the serious charges, the District Attorney's office now takes the evidence in the affidavits to a grand jury. The grand jury then decides whether to indict Cutrer on the charges or not. An indictment means the grand jury believed there was enough evidence to go to trial. If he is indicted, he will then be placed on the felony criminal docket for Post Indictment Reporting to be assigned an attorney if he can't afford one. Then Cutrer will have a series of pre-trial hearings before a court date. He could agree to a plea deal for a possible reduced sentence, or take his case all the way to a trial before a District Judge or before a jury.
