49 Vehicle Burglaries Reported in San Angelo in 2024

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - The San Angelo Police Department asked for public cooperation to combat the rising number of vehicle burglaries within the city. 

The police department told San Angelo LIVE! that 49 car burglaries have occurred since Jan. 1, 2024. 

The department has outlined three steps for residents to safeguard their vehicles.

First, lock your vehicle even if you are going to be away from it for only a matter of seconds.

The second directive is to take keys, valuable items, and firearms out of the vehicle when it is unattended.

The third guideline is to hide valuables out of sight of potential criminals.

The San Angelo Police Department encourages residents to report suspicious activity at 325-657-4315.
