San Angelo's Christmas SHAME: 25 Dogs to be Euthanized Thursday

SAN ANGELO, Texas  — The San Angelo Animal Shelter faces a critical situation, surpassing its capacity due to unforeseen circumstances, currently accommodating 199 dogs on-site as of Monday, December 18. To alleviate this overcrowding, 25 dogs are slated for euthanasia unless adopted, fostered, or transferred to another rescue by 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 21.

Irresponsible pet owners are to blame and should be ashamed.  Perhaps there should be a complete ban on all dog breeding in San Angelo.

To provide assistance or express interest, please reach out to Jen at [email protected] at your earliest convenience.

The shelter maintains a cap of 180 dogs and urgently seeks adoptions, fostering, and transports to prevent the unfortunate necessity of euthanizing these at-risk animals.

The clock is ticking, and it's imperative for pet owners to recognize that this behavior is not only costly but also unnecessary.
