EXCLUSIVE: Man Shot Several Times in Southwest Plaza

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A man was shot several times in Southwest Plaza in San Angelo Friday afternoon at the plasma center on Sunset Dr.

According to our reporters on the scene, on Sep. 29, 2023, at around 2 p.m., San Angelo Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of Sunset for the report of a shooting victim. PD arrived on the scene at 2:11 p.m. to find a victim who had been shot in the lung and was lying in the parking lot of the Southwest Plaza.

The shooter fled the scene and was captured by police .25 miles away at the Sedona Ranch Apartment comes at 2:15 p.m. according to reports. 

The victim was reportedly shot in the chest. Inside sources claim that the man was shot multiple times. San Angelo LIVE! has obtained exclusive video of the shooting.

Police said no longer is a threat to the public present. Regardless, because of the amount of law enforcement officers in the area of the 2600 block of Sunset Blvd., police request the public avoids this area.

SAPD is currently investigating a shooting in the 2600 block of Sunset Dr. There is no active threat to the public. Please avoid the area while the ongoing investigation takes place
