San Angelo Man Gets Probation for Assaulting Runaway Teen

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A man accused of sexually assaulting a runaway teen was sentenced to five years probation in San Angelo Monday.

According to court documents, on Sep. 18, 2023, Deandre Michael Fay, 24, of San Angelo, pleaded guilty to sexual assault of a child. In exchange for the plea, Fay was sentenced to five years probation.

Fay was originally arrested back in April after the Texas Rangers rescued a runaway teenager from the San Angelo Lodge. For the original story, see: Texas Rangers Save Juvenile Runaway from the San Angelo Lodge

The indictment alleges that not only Fay but his co-defendant, 20-year-old Adam Chappa, had both sexually assaulted the girl.

Fay was in the Tom Green County Jail from Apr. 29 until Sep. 13, 2023. Now he will spend the next five years on strict probation.
