Richland Springs Football Star Found Guilty of Role in Jan. 6

 

RICHLAND SPRINGS, TX – A former Richland Springs resident was found guilty in federal court for his role in the Jan. 6 riots at the US Capital building.

According to his Facebook page, on Sep. 11, 2023, Tyler Ethridge, 34, was found guilty of two felonies and four misdemeanor for his role in the riot.

“On Jan. 6, Ethridge was among rioters illegally on the Capitol grounds. He helped remove fencing erected on the northwest approach to the Capitol," claims the DOJ. "He proceeded with the crowd past the barricades to the West Plaza outside the Capitol Building. As law enforcement officers attempted to clear the crowd, Ethridge climbed a media scaffolding and exhorted the crowd to keep fighting.”

Ethridge has a sentencing hearing on Jan. 13, 2024. At this hearing, Ethridge could be given a half a million dollar fine and a 27 plus year prison sentence.
