Abilene Police Chase Ends With Serious Crash

ABILENE— A police chase in Abilene overnight ended with a truck crashed into a tree.

According to the Abilene Police Department, at around 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning, Abilene police were involved in a vehicle pursuit of a red pickup truck. The chase was called off after getting too dangerous but at 7:45 a.m. the same morning, an Abilene trash truck discovered the suspect vehicle had crashed into a tree on the 5100 block of Brick Street.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to an Abilene hospital in critical condition.
