SAN ANGELO— A San Angelo group home coordinator was indicted last month for sexually abusing two disabled children last summer.
Cory Gaylor, 39, has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury for two counts of sexual assault of a child. According to court documents, investigators read a San Angelo Police Report regarding the officer’s response to an alleged sexual assault. The two victims stated that the defendant, Gaylor, had abused them.
Investigators then spoke with a witness who stated the two victims had been sexually assaulted by Gaylor a couple of months ago on June 1, 2022. The witness said the victims are disabled individuals, which in this case means a person older than 13 years of age who, by reason of age or physical or mental disease, defect, or injury is substantial unable to protect the person’s self from harm or to provide food, shelter, or medical care for the person’s self.
Both victims were interviewed where they stated Gaylor had allegedly sexual assaulted them on more than one occasion a couple of months ago when it was hot outside.
Gaylor was arrested on November 17, 2022, and was charged with two counts of sexual assault of a child and is currently and inmate in the Tom Green County Detention Facility.

PermalinkBeing a pedophile is awful enough, but having the responsibility of care and control of disabled children, and abusing them is a crime that should be met with the harshest of penalties. I'd suggest surgical castration and penile amputation for a start. Followed by a long life of agonizing pain.

PermalinkYeah, but an indictment does not necessarily mean a trial. A trial does not necessarily mean a conviction. A conviction does not necessarily result in what to most of us appears an appropriate sentence. Should this path result in "an appropriate sentence", this person will not do well in prison. Prisons are, at least to some degree, occupied by people many of us would consider to be monsters... and even they have standards.
Let us also not forget nothing has been proven yet.
