Dumpster Diver Takes Unwanted Ride to the Landfill

ODESSA – An Odessa women took an unwanted trip to the Odessa landfill on Monday morning in the back of a garbage truck.

According to the Odessa Police Department, on Sep. 26, officers were called to the landfill after workers found a person inside of the bin of a garbage truck.

It all started when a 47-year-old woman started digging through a dumpster around 6 a.m. in the 500 block of West 42nd. She told officers about 25 minutes later, a garbage truck came, picked up the dumpster and she ended up in the back of that garbage truck for two hours.

She ended up with some injuries to her head and lower back.
