UPDATE: Woman Shooter Wounded & Taken into Custody in Love Field Shooting

 

DALLAS- A woman shooter has been taken into custody after firing gunshots inside Dallas Love Field Airport Monday morning.

According to the Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia, at 10:59 a.m., a 37-year-old woman was dropped off at Dallas Love Field Airport and went to the ticket counter. She entered a bathroom and exited with a hoodie, produced a handgun, and began firing.

Garcia said the woman was aiming at the ceiling. As the woman was firing, an officer engaged her and shot her in the lower extremities. The woman was taken into custody and was transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital. No other individuals were hurt or injured in this incident.

According to a traveler, the woman said her husband was cheating on her and pulled out a handgun.

The woman’s name has not been released at this time and this story will be updated as more information becomes available.
