Firefighters Find a Body in a Burned Out Trailer House

 

MIDLAND – A trailer house fire Wednesday afternoon in Midland led authorities to the discovery of a body.

According to the Midland County Sheriff's Office, on Jul. 20 at around 1:45 p.m. firefighters with the Midland Fire Department were dispatched to the 2300 block of Cloverdale for the report of a structure fire.

When they arrived, the crew discovered that a trailer house was fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters worked quickly and extinguished the fire. As a normal procedure the Midland Fire Marshalls Office was called in to investigate. 

While conducting the fire investigation, fire officials found human remains.  

The firefighters discovered a body inside of the trailer. The Midland County Sheriff's Office then took over the investigation. It has not been confirmed as of now if foul play was involved.

The victim has not been identified at this time.
