San Angelo Man Sentenced to Probation for Committing Lewd Acts on a Child

SAN ANGELO, TX – A San Angelo man was placed on two years deferred adjudication probation on Monday after he pleaded no contest to charges alleging child molestation.

According to court documents, Mar. 21, Pablo Prieto, 55, pleaded no contest to indecency with a child by sexual contact.

Prieto was originally indicted for the felony charge on May 19, 2020 by a Tom Green County Grand Jury. The indictment claimed that on Jul. 22, 2017 Prieto touched the genitals of a child younger than the age of 14.

The district attorney's office and Prieto agreed to a deal on Monday giving the Prieto 2 years differed adjudication. The only other stipulations would be that he must never have contact with the victim again and pay a $500 fine.

Is that anything like deferred adjudication?  You got it right in the opening sentence of your article.  Proofread much?

When are the magistrates going to understand that deferred adjudication and probation only promote repeat offenses. These guys are perv pedophiles and will not, and can not, restrain themselves from their sick sexual perversions. I'd be willing to bet the farm that within 4 or 5 years, probably less, he'll be arrested for the same, or worse, crimes against children.
