WATCH: Details Emerge in Grown Man/Teen Fight at Central High School

 

SAN ANGELO, TX –– Additional details have been released in the fight involving 36-year-old Paul Oates and a Central High School Student on December 15th.

According to SAPD, officers working off-duty security at Central were "made aware of a fight occurring in a parking lot on school property."

When officers identified the location of the fight, they "made contact with a 15-year-old male victim who was complaining of injuries associated with being in a physical altercation."

The preliminary investigation revealed Oates was the suspect involved in the fight. Officers also learned Oates fled the scene before they arrived.

SAPD was unable to immeditately locate Oates and he was apprehended by Tom Green County Sheriff's deputies on December 21st. Oates was then booked into the Tom Green County Jail and released after posting a $1,000 bond.
