Police Confirm Veteran's Day Shooting Was A Murder-Suicide

ODESSA, TX –– On Veteran's Day, Odessa Police responded to what was initially described as a grisly double homicide.

Nearly a week after officers located two bodies at a residence at Golder Street. and 40th Street, OPD has confirmed the deaths are being investigated as a murder-suicide.

The subsequent investigation revealed Adan Barerra intentionally crashed a truck into Heather Leann Hernandez Rodriguez’s car and then proceeded to fire several shots into her car through the windshield before shooting himself.
