Disturbed Man Pleads Guilty to Bludgeoning Parents to Death

BRECKENRIDGE, TX –– A Breckenridge man will spend life in prison without parole after brutally murdering his parents in 2018.

According to court documents, Paxton Sullivan bludgeoned his parents, Terry and Mitchel Sullivan, to death with a baseball bat.

When police responded to the home for a welfare check, they found Sullivan getting ready to leave the property.

When asked about his parent's whereabouts, Sullivan stated his mother "wasn't feeling well" and his father "was taking a nap."

Upon entering the home, authorities located the bodies of the deceased inside their master bedroom.

According to authorities, prior to the murder, Breckenridge PD officers and Stephens County Sheriff's deputies responded multiple times to the Sullivan home for reports of domestic violence.

At one point, Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan told police they were concerned their son would kill them.

Authorities later located Sullivan lying on the ground at the end of a long driveway. He would go on to tell detectives "He’s hiding. There is a demon inside me. You seen what he did."

On Wednesday, Sullivan pled guilty to the murders.
