SAN ANGELO, TX – A former Angelo State University Football Player was arrested for allegedly inappropriately recording a person's 'intimate area' without their consent.
According to court documents, on Nov. 3, former Angelo State Football Player, Tom Allen McDade, 19, was arrested for invasive visual recording of a person in a bathroom or dressing room.
The charges came after a Title IX complaint was filed against McDade stating that he had recorded and sent inappropriate media without the other persons consent. McDade is accused of also sharing the illicit content on social media.
McDade played tight end for ASU in the 2020 season but was not on roster this year.
"We are working closely with university officials and law enforcement during this investigation," said Brittney Miller, Director of Communications and Marketing for Angelo State. "This is a sensitive, on-going situation, and we are committed to protecting student safety and privacy."
McDade was placed in the Tom Green County Detention Facility on Nov. 3, 2021 at 5:08 p.m. and remains in the jail on a $15,000 bond. He was arrested by Angelo State University Police. McDade has no previous arrests in Tom Green County.
