Feds Make Another Huge Meth Bust in Brady Tuesday

 

BRADY, TX – U.S. Marshals returned to Brady on Tuesday morning in an attempt to stop the gigantic drug ring that is supplying narcotics across Texas according to sources with the federal court system.

The original bust took place on May 3, 2021. During the initial roundup, the Drug Enforcement Agency were able to arrest over 15 people for federal charges pertaining to running a methamphetamine operation. Click here to view the names of the initial arrestees.

This time, during the sting on the morning of Oct. 19, federal agents were able to arrest another 16 individuals for a Federal Grand Jury Indictment out of Abilene. Some of those individuals were take to the McColloch County Jail while the following were transferred to the Tom Green County Jail:

  • Ty Thomas
  • Ashley Thackerson
  • Austin Nichols
  • Miguel Alfaro
  • Matthew Martinez
  • John David Gonzales
  • Jonathan Phillippi
  • Ariel Cunningham

The District Chief of the San Antonio District of the DEA claims that this has been no small time drug ring. 

"This is a long term investigation working with state, DPS, County and City where we have arrested over fifty individuals involved with this drug ring." E. Dante Sorianello, District Chief of the San Antonio District of the Drug Enforcement Administration said. "This is a very successful operation helping to get these drug dealers off the streets."

All of the suspects are being held on U.S. Marshals holds and will be held in custody until they appear before a federal judge.
