San Angelo Man Indicted for Stealing a Car and a Hand Gun

SAN ANGELO, TX – A San Angelo man has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury in July for theft of a firearm, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and tampering with evidence.

On March 3, 2021 the victim of a burglary reported to an officer that a male subject with a cleaning crew stole his Smith & Wesson 40 caliber firearm from his desk. The victim noticed the firearm missing on 3/29 from his work desk and the review of surveillance video showed the indecent happen.

The victim contacted the cleaning service owner and showed her the video.

Isiah Galindo confessed to taking the firearm and selling it. The victim told the owner of the cleaning service that Galindo had one day to return the firearm.

Galindo told investigators he tried to get the firearm back but was unable to do so.

Galindo was arrested on April 25, 2021 and released the next day on $10,000.00 bond.

Then on May 3, 2021, a SAPD officer took a report for a stolen vehicle at 4402 Meadow Creek Apartments.

The vehicle was located traveling eastbound on Loop 306 near Knickerbocker.

Isiah Galindo and his girlfriend were inside the vehicle. Galindo said that the vehicle belonged to one of his friends and they didn’t mind him driving it.

While Galindo was in the back of the patrol car, he told the officer that he had marijuana in his pocket and asked the officer if he would drop it outside the patrol vehicle.

Isiah Galindo was arrested on May 3, 2021, and is currently an inmate at TGCDF and has a $42,500.00 bond.
