Couple Accused of Defrauding Midland County Extradited to West Texas

 

MIDLAND, TX – The two suspects accused of defrauding Midland County out of more than $1 million have been extradited to West Texas.

According to Sheriff David Criner, John and Cynthia Warren were charged with engaging in organized criminal activity, a first-degree felony. John Warren was also charged with theft of property of more than $300,000.

An audit performed back in September of 2020 showed the couple's company, Vector Fleet Management, submitted fraudulent invoices to the county for more than a $1 million.

The subsequent investigation revealed Justin Warren also knowingly helped John Warren commit the thefts, while all three benefited from the fraudulent profits. The activity has been qualified as organized crime.

The couple was originally arrested in Lownes County in Georgia. They were subsequently booked into Midland County Jail on Wednesday.  Mrs. Warren's bond has been set at $200,000, while her husband has a bond of $1.4 million.

Justin Warren was arrested in Midland and released after posting a bond.

To date, authorities have seized approximately 50 vehicles and equipment in Lowndes County and 24 vehicles and equipment in Odessa.

Why do we keep giving these guys plea deals!?!?! Why is Tom Green County not giving them 50 plus years especially when the have 3 cases!?!?! He needs to be put under the jail! Let the inmates have him! I don't like the idea of my tax dollars going to a taking of something that is not human!!!
