Car Turned to Mangled Metal Mass in Crash with 18-wheelers

 

SWEETWATER, TX – Three people were injured after a crash in Sweetwater on Thursday morning.

According to the Sweetwater Fire and EMS, on Feb. 11, paramedics and firefighters were dispatched to the rest area in Nolan County on I-20 for the report of a major crash.

When they arrived they discovered the drivers had been injured in a three vehicle pile up. Everyone involved with the crash was taken to the Rolling Plains ER with serious injuries.

Investigators say that an 18-wheeler and a silver passenger car had stopped to get off the road and the passenger car was struck by another 18-wheeler that could not stop due to icy road conditions.

The Sweetwater Fire and EMS is asking people to slow down or stay home.
