Another Arrest in Grape Creek Organized Crime Operation

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The owner of the land that Tom Green County Sheriff Deputies found a large number of stolen cars on was arrested on Wednesday for participating in organized crime.

As previously reported, Jan. 27, deputies with the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office busted a car theft operation in Grape Creek. Here is the original story: WATCH: Sheriff's Office Busts Massive Car Theft Operation

During the search the deputies found numerous stolen guns, vehicles, and other items.

Now the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office has arrested the owner of the property, 42-year-old Lonnie Wooten.

Wooten has previously been under the TGCSO radar after he was arrested for stealing a number of items such as a trailer and equipment from a funeral home.

Wooten was arrested by deputies on Feb. 3 and is charged with engaging in organized criminal activity. His bond is set at $150,000.
