Wanted Child Predator with Checkered Past Arrested in San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX – A man who was previously known for preying on women is now being brought up on charges for sexually assaulting children.

According to the court documents, on Jan. 19, Gregory Estes, 56, was arrested in Tom Green County for multiple sexual assault charges.

Estes is no stranger to the Tom Green County Jail. On Dec. 6, 2001 Gregory was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail for attempting to commit a sexual assault. After a year of fighting the case he got the case dismissed.

A year later a Tom Green County grand jury indicted Estes again on the same charges. This time he was found guilty. He pled not guilty but was sentenced to ten years probation. He remained on probation until Sep. 24, 2012.

Estes stayed off the radar for five years working as a financial advisor for one of San Angelo's most notorious individuals, John Sullivan. Following Sullivan's suspicious death, two individuals were tried for forging his will.  In the end the juries determined that John Young and Ray Zapata forged Sullivan's will. During that trial Estes took the stand and presented a photo of Sullivan signing a hand written will.
